The story deals with an island full of peasants who are really violent cannibals, led by a kung fu master cannibal. When Agent 99 goes in search of a missing man, he goes through hell trying to escape. This movie mixes two of my favorite types of films, the kung fu film and the cannibal epic, into one very entertaining, fast-paced and at times comedic and gory film. Some surprising set pieces include the sequence when our hero is fighting ine of the cannibals while tied up. Then there’s one where he’s actually rolling up a cigar while he’s kicking a room full of ass. I’m surprised so little of it is said, at least compared with the director’s other films, as it’s as good as any of his most famous films, probably better. Anyway if you wanna have a good time, this is definitely one to consider.

We're Going To Eat You
This is one of Tsui Hark’s first films, a man who is known today as the Chinese Speilberg. He’s made many blockbusters, and produced most of John Woo’s early action classics like The Killer and A Better Tomorrow. This, however, is my favorite of his films. I like it even more than his Chinese Ghost Story films.
